Here is a simple practice I have been doing that has really contributed to me feeling happy. When I wake up in the morning, before I even open my eyes, I put my hand on my heart and feel love. I breathe that feeling of love through my heart, and feel that delicious, yummy feeling expand throughout my body and being. I find it works so much better to do this before I get up and the mind starts doing it’s ‘thing’.
I stay there immersed in the feeling permeating me through and through for 20-30 minutes. If I only have 5 minutes, that works as well. It becomes a deep foundational feeling and vibration that carries throughout the day. I feel more loving and connected to everyone and everything. Periodically I touch my heart if I start feeling fearful, angry or upset in some way, and it is right there. Then later I fall asleep feeling being loved and loving. So loving it.
The wisdom of the heart overriding the insanity of the mind. It is making such a difference.
